CYPRUS’ gay community is up in arms after a politician apparently branded them as social deviants.

DISY deputy Andreas Themistocleous stirred up a hornet’s nest when he seemingly likened homosexuality to pedophilia, bestiality and necrophilia. The Internet is abuzz with reaction from gay groups and sympathisers, including a dedicated group on Facebook attacking Themistocleous. There's a one woman show about to open at the Malthouse in Melbourne about the iconic Greek poetess Sappho, both written and starring Jane Montgomery Griffiths. Lesbians & Pornography

Portrait of a Cyberdyke in the 80s

‘Lesbian’…I first heard that word when I was 10 years old. We were playing a game about who knows the most curse words and even though the score was a tie that word made all the difference. I protested, “I don’t know that word! It doesn’t count, what does it even mean?”
